VEGETABLE CONTAINER GARDENING SOIL
Good premixed soil or homemade soil recipe for growing vegetables in containers?

I am in the process of starting a container(s) garden for tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers, and would like to know what kind of soil or growing medium would be the best to use, I am interested in both commercial pemixed soils and homemade soil recipes. Also, will the same soil work for each of the plants I am going to be growing? What type of container/containers would be best for each plant. I would like to use oraganic fertilizers rather than chemical based fertilizer. I am a newbie to container gardening so any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Here is a really good article about vegetable container gardening that discusses the soils to use, types and sizes of containers, fertilizers, etc. From Ohio U.
