URBAN GARDENING LOS ANGELES
Urban sprawl and the future of Big cities?

The worlds population has more than doubled since 1950 and cities are becoming
bigger and more spread out, appartmet(tower blocks) were thought to be the way forward in
the 1960s but we have seen crime being a problem and people dont have there own personal
outside space(a garden) which means some people can be isolated.Greenbelts in the Uk and probably elsewhere have been made around our citys but building on them isent as strickt as it once was as housing shortages are a problem in 2009.What do u guys think cities like London
Los Angeles or any other big cities for that matter be like in 100 years from now?how big can a city
get and can u think of anyways to slow down the suburban sprawl eating up the countryside other than the above which has been helpfull but arent ideal and are now failing to cope with this problem.
With many mega citys with populations over 10,000,000 now whats next???thanks:)

I think cities like New York and Paris are the way to go. Sky skyscrapers save space. I think cities like LA waste space and eat up the countryside. London is made up of many different burroughs, which are different from each other. I love the way it’s so cosmopolitan. I have met people from all over the world in London.
I personally prefer large and small parks to my own private garden.
One problem cities will face in the future is supporting the ageing population with lower birth ratea and older people living longer.
