There is no way on earth that any UK hotel will offer work to a foreign national. It is illegal to do so.
There are bad people who know that you want to go to the UK to better yourself and they pretend that they have work for you but ask you for the money to get the necessary documents.
They just want your money and once they have got it. You loose.
Good for you for asking and now you can save your money
The number they have given you is not a London land line it is a mobile number which can be any one any where in the world. It is probably not even some one in the UK 00
