The area of a rectangular garden is 40.5 square feet. The garden is twice as long as it is wide. What are the dimensions of the gardens?

x is width

(2x)(x)=40.5
2x^2=40.5
x^2 = 40.5 / 2
x = the square root of 20.25
x = 4.5
so….
the width is 4.5
and the length is 9
