RUBBER GARDENING BOOTS
Biting ants?

Hi Everyone:

I just came in from turning my garden, not because i had enought, but something bit me on the foot. Am I crazy to think that it might be an ant? When i looked at my sandel, there were a few of the tiniest red ants and I just find it hard to believe that something that small could make my foot feel like it does (something like a hot poker sitting there). I would love to hear about them and what I can do to get rid of them, other than wearing rubber boots in the heat of the summer. Can they be dangerous to us or animals? I am very curious!

yeah ants do bite.

From experience only, ive noticed the trend that the smaller ants give the worst bites. oddly enough fire ant bites don’t hurt or itch as much as the small red ones.

though small black ants don’t seem to bite.

IF you want to get rid of the ants just go to your hardware store and buy some ant killer.

Ants aren’t neccessairly dangerous. Ant bites are just an annoyance….unless you somehow let thousands of them crawl all over you then yes that would be dangerous. But if you’re conscious then that won’t be happening.
