MI Dwellers…Ideas for Upper Peninsula, MI Trip?
Looking for suggestions from people that live in MI or have traveled in the area.
Boyfriend and I are planning on visiting MI next month, here is our itinerary so far…we plan on spending the first night in Granville, though visiting a couple attractions in Grand Rapids, the zoological center and the botanical gardens. The next day we plan on waking early traveling to Grand Haven for the day then heading up to Traverse City and spending the night there and the next day exploring the city then heading home.
Any ideas of things to do in Traverse City or Grand Haven? We do plan on visiting the pier and boardwalk in grand haven, then in traverse city we plan on visiting the dunes and such. Just thought I would ask about some local attractions people could fill me in on.

You can go wine tasting in Traverse City. There are a number of vineyards to visit. Just wander around downtown and go shopping. If you are only spending one night in each you will find plenty to do and wish you had more time. If you plan on actually climbing the sleeping bear dunes that will take hours.
