Whats the best palm tree for the uk ??

I want to plant a palm tree in my back garden, I live in the uk and have heard some makes will survive the uk weather , i need a fast growing one that will be ok to plant in the uk…can any one give me advice ??

i think windmill palms are best. plant nea the house for added heat in the winter.

in southern uk you can plant pinod palms and date palms

also try medditeranean fan palms. the green form is a bit more cold hardy.
