Norfolk State University, located in Norfolk, Virginia was founded in 1935. Virginia has a populace of approximately 241,000, and is also a port city. The contiguous environment is quite urban. One of the greatest advantages that it offers to students is that one can get an online certificate i.e. E-learning through its branch campuses in Virginia Beach and Portsmouth. These degrees are worldwide reputed and recognized.

Tuition fees at Norfolk State University are very minimal which is roughly around $190 per ‘credit hour’ per semester for students from its state. Students applying from out of state and students undergoing graduate degree have substantially higher tuition fees. Financial aid is also available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs.
