INDOOR GARDENING FORUM
I have an indoor Ivy plant which has Mouldy / Furry Soil?

I water the plant regularly, but not too much and I have re-potted the plant with different soil on numerous occasions as it has grown.

The mould dosen’t seem to effect the plant’s growth or health at all, so after attempts at removing the furry mould + top soil in the past, as stated on gardening forums, have not worked I have just left it!?!

Dose anyone have any ideas!?! Is there anything I can buy to perhaps water the plant with to reduce the mould!? Or am I stuck with it?!

Use sand it is safer, mulch is not used on house plants because of moisture issues. Just about one half inch is all you need of the sand.
..but I got to tell you I wouldn’t use either..

Most house plant problems are caused by over watering…it should not need to be watered more than once a week..and if it is caused by poor drainage you can try a different potting soil..

Here is more information; Hope some of this is helpful..
