Could this Vera Bradley (pic included) be used as a tote bag for…?

I’m in middle school and i was thinking of buying this… would it be strange if i used it as a backpack??? i mean a tote backpack – u know what i mean…

im really not sure…i like symphony but i like the design of the first link pic better..

i think the first one would be a little small but its ok. the second one seems to be a more appropriate size but honestly for the money youre spending i would look at other designers. i like vera bradley but your could get other (cuter) designer bags for that!
