What should I do with an injured bird?
My cat brought a bird into the garden and didn’t completely kill it so we put it into a shoe box with some holes in it we gave it some bread and water. after about half an hour we gently shook the box and the bird started to move so it is still alive.
what should I but it in, can I nurse it better it is quite a small bird like a starling or a sparrow
I can’t take it to the vets because it is sunday and I don’t have much money I live in the UK what should I do
Take it to a wildlife rehabilitater. If the bird has any puncture marks on it, it will die from infection, without treatment. Cats have a lot of bacteria in their saliva. The bird could also die from shock. Maybe consider keeping your cat inside?
