GARDENING LEAVE HOLIDAY
Neighbours gone on holiday and left their dog home alone?

The dog is viscious and has been left alone since last Thursday. They have left the back door open and the dog has the run of the house and garden. It is barking all day and night and is clearly distressed.I have called the RSPCA and they visited but done nothing but leave a note on te front door.I called the police who done nothing but peep over the fence and leave.I called the council and enviromental health and guess what?Nothing.Other neighbours have said no-one is feeding it so I have been throwing food over the fence for it.I and others have had limited sleep due to the howling and barking.

What more can I do considering i don’t know when the neighbours are returning.

Sorry you’ve found yourself in such a bad situation.

I can only agree with what others answering here have said, continue ringing the RSPCA. I would get in touch with the council again, but this time to the department dealing with noisy neighbours and report them for that too. It isn’t going to lead to any immediate action, but will put your neighbours on notice that their behaviour is unacceptable. I would do as others suggest to and go to your local press, a quick word in ear of the person manning the newsdesk of your local gazette about how the poor dog has been abandoned without food or water and is dangerous and unchained with kids living nearby is bound to cause them to leap into action shaming the RSPCA into action – particularly given the tragic case of Ellie Lawrenson which is in the news now.
