Catmint and Lavender varieties???

I want to grow catmint and lavender in my garden this year. What variety of catmint do cats really like? Is there a lavender to grow in zone 4.

my cats seem to prefer plain old catnip to all the other varieties i have growing ( including catmint, lemon catnip, and variegated catmint). as far as lavender that will grow in z.4 , i’ve heard lady and munstead varieties are pretty cold-hardy. try planting a variety of types and see which ones do best , then use that type.
