Hydroponic or Aeroponics Gardening?

Which is the easiest and cheapest? After that question is answered I’ll need to know, which book to get? I know where to find the books but most books have no reviews or just 1 or 2. I will need a book with: how to build your own, maintainance, supplies…ect.. not just how it works… I’ve seen the one on tv but it looks cheap and not very big. It also looks like it has a lot of special supplies that you would have to buy from them only. I want something I can get supplies for at Home Depo or Lowes.
