GARDENING DECORATIVE POTS
which small flower could I put in . . .?

I have a set of 3″ decorative ceramic pots that I would like to display in my garden window. Up until now I have been using them for starters but I would really like to display them. What would be a good small flowering plant I could put in them that would not necessarily need to be transplanted soon. I would like something that could live happily in a 3″ pot for a long time.
I would prefer a flowering plant but if you think of something that is pretty or interesting that does not slower, I am open to suggestions
sorry, I wrote slower, I meant, that does not flower
So far great answers, thank you. the window is a kitchen window that sticks out like a bay window but with shelving like a little greenhouse- it gets a fair amount of sun. I considered african violets but was not sure if a 3″pot was too small- I will look into sweet william and some other flowers listed here – any other suggestions are welcome

Dianthas. I’ve even planted them in old work boots.
