BUY GARDENING SOILS

Do you have any ideas on where I can buy garden soil by the truck load?
I have tried the places like Lowes and nurseries and bulk rock places but they all point me to the expensive bags and I need at least 10 cu yds there is no way to do this by the bag for a reasonable amount of money. At most a bag hold 3 cu feet which is very little.
I tried the trucking/hauling companies but their dirt is directly dug from the ground with no treatment for weeds or termites.
I live in Southern NC. Red clay alley to be precise, so to augment our existing, ahem, soil, (or lack thereof) we get compost by the cubic yard from our local landfill.
If this sounds like an idea that would work, check with your city’s waste management service to see if they have a “Compost Central” and if they do, contract a truck to have it delivered.
It is very unlikely you will find “treated” soil. Like the others have mentioned, weeds and bugs will get into it either way.
You may also check to see if there are any potting soil manufacturers nearby, maybe they will sell it by the yard. We have one just up the road in Huntersville.
