BEST GARDENING GADGETS

Gardeners! What would be your perfect gift?
So, as you may or may not know (or be ignoring), Christmas is coming up. My husband has, over the past year, built us a fairly impressive vegetable and herb garden in our backyard. He works in a hydroponic store, so he’s constantly up on this or that new growing media, or the best edible plants. He never really mentions it, but the only sophisticated bit of garden tool he owns would probably be the auto-timer that shuts our drip irrigation system on and off.
So. I’m asking the plantophiles out there. What garden tool or gadget do you lust after? Which one can’t you live without? Which one is just plain NEAT? Go ahead and tell me the item you secretly want for your gardening needs and wish someone will buy you, be it book, tool, or electronic gizmo. I need to pick something to get my guy!
1) a camera with a lens attachment that would take really good close up pictures of plants.
2) membership at a botanical garden
3) a subscription to Sunset magazine
4) cookbooks with a lot of recipes using veggies and herbs
5) home canning equipment (there are always sooo many veggies when the crops come in)
