Are there any vegetable that grow in the shade?

I want to grow some vegetables but dont have much sun in backyard? Are there any that will grow in a more shady area? Everything Ive looked at so far needs a sunny area. They must be easy to grow as I’m a beginner at gardening and don’t have good health.

• Greens such as lettuce, spinach, and Swiss chard do not need full sun.

• Root crops are generally less sun-needy.

• However, most plants that flower and produce fruit or vegetables from the flowers need a fair amount of sun.
