BASIC GARDENING KNOWLEDGE
Books and resources for gardening/lawn care?

The Live Nursery Specialist position at my work just opened up, and I’m very eager to try for the position. I have 9 months of experience working in our garden center, which gives me a basic knowledge of all things that are leafy and green.

I need to study and learn about lawn care, feeding, plant diseases, and plants that are generally popular on the East Coast.

Does anyone know of any good reference books that I could find at my local library that I could use to cram in more knowledge so that I can net this position?

I don’t know what you’ll find in a local library. You would find more at a college library. For books on plants look for Bridwell’s “Landscape Plants” and anything by Allan Armitage for perennials and Micheal Dirr for woodies.
